Mission The preservation and protection of the Tibetan Buddhist teachings in Asia and in Tibet.

Work-Study participants help in the production of sacred Tibetan Buddhist texts which are given away to Tibetans in Asia.

Work-Study positions: We are seeking hardy and positively-minded people who are physically fit. No experience is required, although those with mechanical aptitude and experience are appreciated. Hands-on and technical training is provided.

Work description: Participants learn the skills of both traditional Tibetan and Western-style book binding. The work involves folding, collating, assembling, wrapping and boxing of Tibetan books plus warehousing, machine operation and maintenance.

Commitment: 6 months. Occasionally we may be able to consider commitments of less than 6 months due to extenuating circumstances, such as visa considerations. Email books@ratnaling.org or APPLY

Requirements: A positive attitude to new learning and physical vigor. This work requires being on your feet, use of the upper body, repetitive motions and some lifting.
